2006 Garden Competition

The weather conditions and water restrictions will present even more of a challenge this year, but it's now more important than ever to show that it's still possible to have an attractive garden under adverse conditions by adopting waterwise strategies.
The waterwise category is sponsored by the Pine Rivers Shire Council and will be expanded this year to cover waterwise planting, as well as innovations in water collection and retention. We've also identified some useful waterwise links:

Closing date for entries - Tuesday, 5th September
Judging Day - Sunday, 10th September
Presentation Day - Sunday, 8th October
Presentations this year will be held at the Arana Leagues Club.
All entrants will receive vouchers for a free bag of potting mix from our major sponsor, Steve Jones, and a cubic metre of mulch from the Pine Rivers Shire Council. Please note that you will need to pick up the mulch yourself from the Council tip on Bunya Rd. The mulch is not bagged and you will need a box trailer or utility to collect it.
